Beef suya is a popular Nigerian street food made of thinly sliced beef skewers coated in a bold, spicy peanut-based seasoning and grilled over open flames. It’s especially common in northern Nigeria and is traditionally prepared by Hausa street vendors known as mai suya.

- Soak wooden skewers for 30minutes to an hour. This will prevent them from burning.
- Thinly slice beef and add In a bowl, mix the suya, oil, salt and seasoning cube. Coat the beef well, cover
- and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Thread the beef onto the skewers, sprinkle with more suya spice and lay on an oven tray.
- Cook in a preheated 220C for 20 minutes, flip halfway and cook till done.
- Serve with sliced onions, tomatoes and extra suya spice.
